A single dose of advantus kills adult fleas on your dog, and it is in and out of their system within 24 hours. If there are fleas in your dog’s environment and your dog becomes re-infested, you can safely repeat treatment as often as once per day. Do not give more than one tablet per day.
advantus works for dogs and puppies that are at least 10 weeks old and weigh at least 4 pounds.
advantus contains the active ingredient imidacloprid, which spreads throughout your dog’s body. When fleas ingest the product, the active ingredient overstimulates the flea’s nervous system and kills the flea. It is an FDA-approved flea soft chew for dogs to use at the first sign of fleas.
advantus can be used with other products such as heartworm preventives, corticosteroids, antibiotics, vaccines, deworming medications, and shampoos. For complete directions for use and safety information see product label.
FDA Approved.
You can give your dog one soft chew up to once every 24 hours.
advantus does not prevent fleas, but it does work to kill them, starting within one hour. advantus soft chews should not replace your dog’s flea and tick prevention.
Yes, advantus does have an expiration date, which can be found on the product label near the barcode. Store advantus in the original container at temperatures between 68-77 degrees Fahrenheit (20-25 degrees Celsius), and place the cap back onto bottle after each use. Keep out of reach of children. See product label for more details.
No, advantus is for dogs only.
