Ethiopian Sidamo coffee is a specialty coffee variety grown on the Sidamo plateaus, between 1,600 and 2,000 meters above sea level in the Sidamo region of southeastern Ethiopia. Coffee beans grown at this altitude meet the Strictly High Grown (SHG) Strictly Hard Bean (SHB) quality standard. This allows the finest Ethiopian coffees, grown on very high plateaus, to grow more slowly, absorbing all the minerals of the soil and developing intense aromatic flavors according to local climate and soil conditions. This coffee is considered one of the finest coffee beans in the world.
