Amazon Aware products feature certifications that are part of Amazon’s Climate Pledge Friendly program. Certifications are chosen by product type - for example, for our apparel products, we selected certifications such as Global Recycled Standard.

What does it mean for Amazon Aware products to be certified as carbon neutral?

It means that we have accounted for product emissions and neutralized any remaining emissions through high-quality carbon credits. Amazon Aware is continuously innovating and looking for ways to reduce the emissions of its products.

How are you measuring the carbon footprint of Amazon Aware products?

The carbon footprint of each product is calculated by ClimatePartner, an external certifier, using the GHG Protocol. The methodology covers emissions from materials, production, distribution, and end-of-life.
