HOW TO CALCULATE EPA DHA CONCENTRATION
First, the amount of fish oil in 1 capsule should be checked.

Amount of fish oil in 1 capsule: 500 mg
Amount of EPA in 1 capsule: 165 mg
Amount of DHA in 1 capsule: 110 mg
EPA ratio: 165 500 0.33 x 100 33
DHA ratio: 110 500 0.22 x 100 22

Amount of EPA in capsule: 180 mg
Amount of DHA in 1 capsule: 120 mg

Consumers often make a mistake by choosing the product shown in Example 2. As seen in the calculations, to make the right choice, the EPA DHA concentration, not the amount of EPA DHA in 1 capsule, should be calculated. The fish oil in Example 1 has an EPA concentration of 33 and a DHA concentration of 22 , while the fish oil in Example 2 has an EPA concentration of 18 and a DHA concentration of 12 .
The important thing is not the amount of EPA DHAin 1 capsule, but theCONCENTRATIONof EPA DHA.
The vast majority of fish oils in our country have a concentration of 33 EPA and 22 DHA. Because consumers are unaware of product labels, manufacturers have made an effort to increase the amount of EPA DHA they provide in one capsule by increasing capsule sizes. However, the concentration remains constant no matter how large the capsule is. Just as putting a 10 saltwater solution into a teacup or glass of water will not affect the concentration, putting a product with the same EPA DHA concentration in a much larger capsule does not provide a product advantage in terms of product superiority.
