Praziquantel-suspension Plus refers to combined anthelmintic drugs.

The combination of praziquantel, febantel and pyrantel pamoate, which are part of the drug, provides a wide spectrum of its anthelmintic action on gastrointestinal nematodes (Toxocara canis, Toxocara cati, Toxocara mistax, Toxascaris leonina, Uncinaria stenocephala, Trichuris vulpis, Ancylostoma caninum) and cestodes (Echinococcus granulosus, Alveococus multilocularis, Mesocestoides lineatus, Dipylidium caninum, Diphyllobotrium latum, Multiceps multiceps), parasitizing in dogs and cats.

Pyrantel pamoate is a compound of the pyrimidine group, the mechanism of its action is based on the blockade of the transmission of nerve impulses in Neuromuscular synapses by depolarizing muscle cell membranes, causing paralysis of the nematode's muscular system.

Praziquantel is a pyrazinoisoquinoline compound active against gastrointestinal cestodes at all stages of development.

By increasing the permeability of the parasite's cell membranes to calcium ions (Ca2+), it causes membrane depolarization, muscle contraction, and destruction of the tegument, leading to the death of the helminths and facilitating their elimination from the animal's body.

Febantel is a probenzimidazole, which is biotransformed in the body into benzimidazoles.

The mechanism of action of febantel is based on the inhibition of the enzyme fumarate reductase in the mitochondria of helminths, resulting in impaired glucose absorption and synthesis of the protein tubulin, which leads to the destruction of the microtubular apparatus of parasite cells, causing its death.

It is used orally individually, in the morning feeding with a small amount of food, or forcibly administered to the root of the tongue using a dosing syringe in the doses indicated in the table.

For preventive purposes, deworming of animals is carried out once a quarter, and also before each vaccination.

For therapeutic purposes and for the purpose of prevention in group (crowded) keeping of animals (in nurseries, shelters, vivaria), treatment is carried out: for nematodoses - twice with an interval of 14 days; For cestodiasis, associated nematode-cestodiasis infestations, and giardiasis, administer once daily for three consecutive days.

A fasting diet and laxatives are not required before deworming.

Празиквантел - соединение группы пиразинизохинолинов, активно в отношении желудочно-кишечных цестод на всех фазах развития. Повышая проницаемость клеточных мембран паразита для ионов кальция (Ca2+), вызывает деполяризацию мембран, сокращение мускулатуры и разрушение тегумента, что приводит к гибели гельминтов и способствует их выведению из организма животного.

Фебантел относится к пробензимидазолам, биотрансформирующимся в организме в бензимидазолы. Механизм действия фебантела основан на ингибировании фермента фумаратредуктазы в митохондриях гельминтов, в результате чего нарушается усвоение глюкозы и синтез белка тубулина, что приводит к разрушению микротубулярного аппарата клеток паразита, вызывая его гибель.

Применяют перорально индивидуально, в утреннее кормление с небольшим количеством корма или вводят принудительно на корень языка с помощью шприца-дозатора в дозах, указанных в таблице.

С профилактической целью дегельминтизацию животных проводят один раз в квартал, а также перед каждой вакцинацией.

С лечебной целью и с целью профилактики при групповом (скученном) содержании животных (в питомниках, приютах, вивариях) обработку проводят: при нематодозах - двукратно с интервалом 14 суток; при цестодозах, ассоциативных нематодо-цестодозных инвазиях и при лямблиозе - один раз в день в течение 3-х последовательных дней. Предварительной голодной диеты и применения слабительных средств перед дегельминтизацией не требуется.

Флакон с суспензией перед каждым применением следует тщательно встряхнуть.
