Apilara Extracted Chestnut Honey
We are a team of agriculturalists and nature lovers who have successfully carried the beekeeping activities we initiated in 1992 with the Ege University Faculty of Agriculture for the pollination of cherry trees to the present day. Our adventure began with local bee breeds that struggled to adapt to our country's rich and diverse flora in migratory beekeeping activities. Due to the lack of success in yield and quality, we have now moved on to examining the experiences of international beekeepers. We conducted two years of research on the hybrid bee race called BUCKFAST, passed down to us by German-born priest and scientist Karl Kehrle (Bruder Adam). This race is adaptable to diverse geographical climates, capable of producing high-quality, high-yield harvests, and able to successfully survive cold winters with its strong colony. Its particularly finely woven combs offer you the taste of Karahive honey without a candle in your mouth. Its hive organization and outstanding quality workmanship make it a champion race. This race was hybridized by combining the genetics of the world's most successful races. Currently, 50 of our hives are comprised of the Buckfast race.
