Prazitel plus suspension is an effective anthelmintic agent used for dogs of medium and large breeds.

Composition and release form:

Prazitel plus contains the following active ingredients: fenbendazole - 100 mg, pyrantel pamoate - 140 mg and praziquantel - 50 mg, as well as auxiliary components.

Pharmacological properties:

Prazitel plus has a broad spectrum of antiparasitic activity against round and tapeworms, including Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina, Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma spp., Trichuris vulpis, Echinococcus granulosus, Echinococcus multilocularis, Multiceps multiceps, Mesocestoides lineatus, Diphyllobothrium latum, Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp.

The mechanism of action of pyrantel pamoate is to block neuromuscular transmission, disrupt the permeability of cell membranes and inhibit cholinesterase, which leads to paralysis and death of the helminth.

Indications:

Prescribed to dogs of medium and large breeds for prophylactic and therapeutic purposes for nematodosis (toxocariasis, toxascariasis, uncinariasis, ancylostomiasis, trichuriasis) and cestodiasis (taeniasis, dipylidiasis, echinococcosis, diphyllobothriasis, mesocestoidiasis).

Dosage and method of administration:

The suspension is given to animals orally once individually at the rate of 1 ml of suspension per 10 kg of animal weight in the morning feeding with a small amount of food or administered directly to the root of the tongue using a dispenser.

Treatment against intestinal nematodes and cestodes is carried out according to indications.

Contraindications:

Individual hypersensitivity to the drug's components.

Deworming is not recommended for females in the first half of pregnancy and lactating animals up to 3 weeks after parturition, as well as for animals with infectious diseases and recovering animals.

Do not administer concomitantly with piperazine derivatives or other drugs that inhibit cholinesterase.

Показания:

Назначают собакам средних и крупных пород с профилактической и лечебной целью при нематодозах (токсокароз, токсаскаридоз, унцинариоз, анкилостомоз, трихоцефалез) и цестодозах (тениидоз, дипилидиоз, эхинококкоз, дифиллоботриоз, мезоцестоидоз).

Дозы и способ применения:

Суспензию задают животным внутрь однократно индивидуально из расчета 1 мл суспензии на 10 кг веса животного в утреннее кормление с небольшим количеством корма или вводят непосредственно на корень языка с помощью дозатора. Лечебные мероприятия против кишечных нематод и цестод проводят по показаниям.

Противопоказания:

Индивидуальная повышенная чувствительность к компонентам препарата. Не подлежат дегельминтизации самки в первой половине щенности и кормящие животные до 3-х недельного срока после родов, а также больные инфекционными болезнями и выздоравливающие животные. Не назначать одновременно с производными пиперазина и другими лекарственными средствами, ингибирующими холинэстеразу.
