The drug is used for the prevention of dirofilariasis, as well as the treatment and prevention of nematodosis and cestodiasis in dogs.
For cestodiasis and nematodosis of the gastrointestinal tract, DIRONET 200 is used individually orally once in the morning feeding for therapeutic and prophylactic purposes in the following doses: 1 tablet of DIRONET 200 per 4 kg of body weight of dogs and puppies.
Composition and pharmacological properties
DIRONET 200 is intended for dogs, contains 60 mg of pyrantel pamoate, 20 mg of praziquantel and 0.024 mg of ivermectin in one tablet.
DIRONET belongs to the combination anthelmintic drugs of a wide spectrum of action.
The combination of active ingredients in the preparation provides a broad spectrum of anthelmintic action against all developmental stages of round and tapeworms parasitizing dogs, including Toxocara canis, T.
cati, Toxascaris leonina, Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum, Trichuris vulpis, Echinococcus granulosus, E.
multilocularis, Diphyllobothrium latum, Dipylidium caninum, Multiceps multiceps, Taenia spp., as well as the larval stages of development (microfilariae) of Dirofilaria immitis and D.
repens.
Pyrantel pamoate is a compound of the pyrimidine group.
It is active against mature and immature nematodes.
Its mechanism of action is based on the blockade of nerve impulse transmission in neuromuscular synapses by depolarization of muscle cell membranes, which causes paralysis of the muscular system of nematodes.
Pyrantel is poorly absorbed, which ensures its prolonged effect on helminths in the intestine; it is excreted from the body mainly unchanged (93%) with feces.
Praziquantel is a compound of the pyrazinoisoquinoline group.
It is active against mature and immature cestodes.
Its mechanism of action is based on the induction of tegument disintegration and inhibition of fumarate reductase, persistent
depolarization of helminth muscle cells, disruption of energy metabolism, which causes paralysis and death of cestodes and promotes their elimination from the gastrointestinal tract.
Praziquantel is rapidly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract, reaching its maximum plasma concentration within 1-3 hours.
It is distributed throughout the animal's organs and tissues; it binds to serum proteins (70-80%), is partially metabolized in the liver, re-excreted into the intestines, and is excreted primarily in the urine (up to 80%).
Ivermectin is a macrocyclic lactone compound with a pronounced anthelmintic effect on larval and adult nematodes, including D.
immitis and D.
repens.
Its mechanism of action involves influencing the magnitude of chloride ion flux through the membranes of parasite nerve and muscle cells.
The primary targets are glutamate-sensitive chloride channels and gamma-aminobutyric acid receptors.
Changes in chloride ion flux disrupt the conduction of nerve impulses, leading to paralysis and death of the parasite.
After oral administration, ivermectin reaches its maximum concentration in the blood within 3 hours and is excreted from the body in urine and bile, and in lactating animals, partly in milk.
Indications for use:
Prevention of dirofilariasis, as well as treatment and prevention of nematodosis and cestodiasis in dogs and puppies.
For dogs of breeds sensitive to macrocyclic lactones, including bobtails, collies, shelties and their crossbreeds, the drug is used as directed and under the supervision of a veterinarian.
Directions for use:
For cestodiasis and nematodiasis of the gastrointestinal tract, DIRONET is administered orally for therapeutic and prophylactic purposes individually once a day during the morning feeding in the following doses: at the rate of 1 tablet of DIRONET 200 per 4 kg of weight of dogs and puppies.
For prophylactic purposes, deworming is carried out quarterly, as well as before each vaccination.
To reduce the number of microfilariae circulating in the blood of animals infected with D.
immitis or D.
repens, the drug is prescribed in a therapeutic dose once a month.
For the prevention of dirofilariasis in an unfavorable disease in the region, DIRONET 200 is used in the spring-summer-autumn period: once before the start of the mosquito season (March-April), then monthly from April to October, and the last time in the season 1 month after the end of the mosquito season (October-November).

Механизм его действия заключается во влиянии на величину тока ионов хлора через мембраны нервных и мышечных клеток паразита. Основной мишенью являются глютаматчувствительные хлорные каналы, а также рецепторы гамма-аминомасляной кислоты. Изменение тока ионов хлора нарушает проведение нервных импульсов, что приводит к параличу и гибели паразита. После перорального введения ивермектин достигает максимальной концентрация в крови в течение 3 часов, выводится из организма с мочой и желчью, у лактирующих животных частично с молоком.
Показания к применению:
Профилактика дирофиляриоза, а также лечение и профилактика нематодозов и цестодозов собак и щенков. Собакам, чувствительных к макроциклическим лактонам пород, в том числе бобтейл, колли, шелти и их помесям, лекарственный препарат применяется по назначению и под контролем ветеринарного врача.
Порядок применения:
При цестодозах и нематодозах желудочно-кишечного тракта ДИРОНЕТ с лечебной и профилактической целью применяют индивидуально перорально однократно в утреннее кормление в следующих дозах: из расчета 1 таблетка ДИРОНЕТ 200 на 4 кг массы собак и щенков.
С профилактической целью дегельминтизацию проводят ежеквартально, а также перед каждой вакцинацией.
Для снижения количества микрофилярий, циркулирующих в крови инвазированных D. immitis или D. repens животных, препарат назначают в терапевтической дозе однократно, один раз в месяц.
С целью профилактики дирофиляриоза в неблагополучном по заболеванию регионе, ДИРОНЕТ 200 применяют в весенне-летне-осенний период: однократно перед началом лета комаров (март-апрель), затем ежемесячно с апреля по октябрь, и последний раз в сезоне через 1 месяц после окончания лета комаров (октябрь-ноябрь).
