Usage Lighten up your dinner time with this playful pasta shape.	Shape Mini Farfalle, a smaller version of Farfalle, is also referred to as 'bow-tie' pasta. Inspired by the shape of a butterfly, it is sure to please the whole family.	Texture Mini Farfalle's fanciful shape allows it to star in a variety of recipes including light tomato-based sauces and pasta salads with vegetables.	Cooking Tips 1. Bring 4 - 6 quarts of water to a rolling boil, add salt to taste. 2. Add contents of package to boiling water. Stir gently. 3. Return to a boil. For authentic 'al dente' pasta, boil uncovered, stirring occasionally for 11 minutes. For more tender pasta, boil an additional 1 minute. 4. Remove from heat. Drain well. 5. Serve immediately with your favorite Barilla sauce.

Barilla Mini Farfalle

with Cherry Tomatoes, Basil & Mozzarella Cheese

1. Bring a pot of water to a boil.

2. Add oil and onions to a medium sauté pan and heat over medium-high heat.

3. Sauté for 3 minutes or until onions are soft.

4. Add cherry tomatoes to skillet.

5. Sauté tomatoes for another 3 minutes until skins are blistered and flesh is heated through; season with salt and pepper.

6. Meanwhile, cook Mini Farfalle according to directions on the package.

7. Remove sauce from heat, puree 1/3 of sauce in a blender on high, for 2 minutes.

8. Return the puree to sauté pan.

9. Drain and toss pasta with sauce.

10. Finish with basil and mozzarella cheese.

Ingredients (Serves 6):

16 oz. Barilla Mini Farfalle
2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
2 tbsp. onions, minced
1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
4 leaves fresh basil, torn
4 oz. mozzarella cheese shredded

Barilla Mini Farfalle in Pink Sauce

1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil.

2. Heat Barilla Three Cheese Sauce and cream in a skillet over medium heat.

3. Simmer for two minutes, stirring occasionally.

4. Meanwhile, cook Barilla Mini Farfalle according to package directions.

5. Drain pasta and immediately add to sauce mixture.

6. Mix well.

7. Stir in olive oil and transfer to a serving platter or bowl.

8. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

1 jar Barilla Three Cheese Sauce
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
2 tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped
