Olive oilis a greenish-yellowish liquid oil obtained from the fruit of the olive tree (Olea europaea). The color of olive oil can vary between greenish and yellowish. The color is a result of the substances it contains. Although there is a connection between the quality and color of olive oil, the color has no effect on the quality of the oil.
Bitter melon(Momordica charantia) is a plant species from the Cucurbitaceae family, grown in tropical climates and used as a food and medicine. It has a complex form and blooms in summer. It has fan-shaped, lobed leaves with toothed edges. Its flowers are yellow. In Turkey, it is generally grown around Yalova and Bursa. The fruit, with all its parts and sap being very bitter, is green when unripe but orange-red when ripe, turning into a broad shuttle-shaped fruit 10–20 cm long. It has an indented and rough surface. When ripe, the skin folds back to reveal numerous red, brown, or white seeds. The seeds are 7–10 mm long, flat, and rough. It contains calcium, iron, resin, essential oils, and flavonoids.
The bitter melon fruit is ripened by soaking in olive oil.

Kudret nari(Momordica charantia), kabakgiller (cucurbitaceae) familyasindan tropik iklim bölgelerinde yetisen gida ve ilaç olarak kullanilan bitki türü. Karmasik formunda olup, yaz aylarinda çiçek açar. Yelpaze seklinde, loplu, kenarlari disli yapraklara sahiptir. Çiçekleri sari renklidir. Türkiye'de genellikle yalova ve bursa civarinda yetistirilmektedir. Bütün kisimlari ve öz suyu çok aci olan meyve hamken yesil, olgunlasinca turuncu-Kirmizi renkte, 10–20 cm uzunlugunda, genis bir mekik sekline gelir. Girintili çikintili ve pürtüklü bir yüzeye sahiptir. Olgunlasinca, kabugu geriye büküldügünde çok sayida, kirmizi, kahverengi veya beyaz renkli çekirdekleri ortaya çikar. Tohumlari (çekirdekleri) 7-10mm boyunda, yassi ve pütürlüdür. Bilesiminde kalsiyum, demir, rezin, uçucu yaglar ve flavonoidler içermektedir.
