How we got our start

Tal and Kate launched bkr with a focus on two main concepts: water is the foundation for pretty skin and a healthy body---and hydrating shouldn't be unpleasant, toxic, or hard. The cult favorite, original glass water bottle was sustainable and eco, but also made drinking water blissful and easy.

In 2011, Tal and Kate launched bkr with a focus on one main concept which in their minds was Beauty 101: drinking water is the foundation for soft, dewy, pretty skin. But they were fast becoming aware of what would be one of the most important environmental and health issues of their time: the many implications of single use plastics. So they invented the cult favorite, glass silicone bkr water bottles: small-mouth, soft, pretty, and sustainable. And, as they say, the rest is history.
