How it's made	Minimally processed, oat groats are the whole grain from the oat plant. They are processed to remove the husk and any farming debris.	Steel cut oats are whole oat groats that have been cut in half, or thirds.	Thick rolled oats are steamed and then pressed flat. The thicker the oat, the longer they take to cook, and the chewier they are.	Quick cooking rolled oats are steamed and then pressed very flat. Because they are very thin, they take less time to cook, but also don't hold their original shape well.	Scottish oats are stone-ground oat groats. If the stones were closer together, it would form oat flour. This forms a smooth textured cereal that's packed with whole grain goodness.

Gluten Free Rolled Oats Baked Pear Oatmeal Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups Old Fashioned Rolled Oats
1 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Salt & 1/2 tsp ground Cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground Ginger & 1/4 tsp ground Nutmeg
3 cups Water or Milk, Pear Juice, or Apple Juice
2 Eggs
1/2 cup Brown Sugar & 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/4 cup Butter melted and cooled & 2 cups chopped fresh Pears (about 2 whole)

Baked Pear Oatmeal Recipe

Instructions:

Step 1 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter a 9 x 9-inch baking dish and set aside.

Step 2 - In a small bowl, combine rolled oats, baking powder, salt, and spices. Set aside.

Step 3 - In a large bowl, whisk together water (or milk or juice), eggs, brown sugar, melted and cooled butter, and vanilla extract. Add oat mixture to the wet ingredients and mix to combine. Fold in chopped pears.

Step 4 - Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish and bake until set, about 40-50 minutes. Let cool about 5 minutes before serving.

Make the world's best oatmeal at home

Bring water and salt to a boil. Add Old Fashioned Rolled Oats, reduce heat to medium-low and cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes (or longer for creamier oatmeal). Remove from heat and let stand for 2 minutes.

Microwave Instructions: In a large bowl, combine 1/2 cup Old Fashioned Rolled Oats, 1 cup water and a pinch of salt. Cover and microwave on high for 2 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes. Stir well before eating. Makes 1 serving.
