Basic collagen types:

Type 1 collagen:90 of the collagen in the body is Type 1 collagen. It is found in a tightly bundled strand structure. It is responsible for the formation of bone, skin, tendons, fibrous cartilage, and teeth.

Type 2 collagen:This type of collagen fibers are more loosely packed than Type 1. It is found in the elastic cartilage found in joints.

Type 3 collagen:It is found in the lining of muscle, organ, and vascular structures.

Type 4 collagen:Found in the skin layers.

As we age, collagen production decreases in the body, and poorer quality collagen is produced. As a result, the skin loses its elasticity and wrinkles appear. Cartilage also weakens. Joint problems may occur.

WHAT DOES COLLAGEN DO?

Collagen is secreted by various cells, but is primarily secreted by connective tissue cells. It is a complex macromolecular network that determines the physical properties of body tissues. A macromolecule is a molecule containing many atoms.

In the dermis, or middle layer of the skin, collagen helps form a fibrous network of cells called fibroblasts, on which new cells can grow. They support the renewal of dead skin cells. With age, the body begins to produce less collagen. This causes the skin's structural integrity to change, wrinkles increase, and joint cartilage weakens. A decrease in collagen can cause visible changes in the skin.

Tip 1 kolajen:Vücutta bulunan kolajenin 90'i Tip 1 kolajendir. Sikica demetlenmis iplikçik yapisinda bulunur. Kemik, deri, tendon, fibröz kikirdak ve dis yapisinin kurulmasinda görevlidir.

Tip 2 kolajen:Bu tipte kolajen fiberleri, Tip 1'e göre daha gevsek paketlenmistir. Eklemlerde yer alan elastik kikirdakta bulunur.

Tip 3 kolajen:Kas, organ ve damar yapilarinin yemelinde yer alir.

Tip 4 kolajen:Cilt katmanlarinda bulunur.

Yas ilerledikçe vücutta kolajen üretimi azalir ve daha kalitesiz kolajen üretilir. Bu durum sonucunda cilt esnekligini kaybeder ve kirisikliklar meydana gelir. Kikirdak dokusu da zayiflar. Eklemlerle ilgili problemler görülebilir.

KOLAJEN NE ISE YARAR?

Kolajen çesitli hücreler tarafindan salgilansa da esas olarak bag dokusu hücreleri tarafindan salgilanirlar. Bu, vücut dokularinin fiziksel özelliklerini belirleyen karmasik bir makromolekül agdir. Bir makromolekül, çok sayida atom içeren bir moleküldür.
