Getting the Best Results From Your Bu Sunscreen
Applying the “right” amount of product to your skin is key. With Bu SPF 30 (96.7% UV protection) an even sweeping mist is all that is needed. It will look “wet” or “oily” for 2-3 minutes, depending on your skin, pores and amount of product; however, it contains NO ADDED OILS. After 5 minutes, you’ll still see the shine and you’ll think it’s wet or slick but it will be dry, making your skin feel moisturized but not sticky or greasy. Like all traditional sunscreens, let it dry for 15 minutes to allow proper bonding.
The SPF 50, with 1.3% more UV protection (98% UV protection) than the SPF 30, uses 10.5% more sunscreen ingredients, so it takes a little longer to dry. It is more moisturizing for those with dry skin and for those who are sensitive to the sun, that prefer to have as much protection as possible.
If you are spot spraying, rubbing will not decrease the effectiveness, it may reduce the drying time and help spread the sunscreen evenly.
