Cedarshield is safe to use around pets and children, plus it won't leach out into the environment or soil after it's fully dried (about 72 hours).
FAQ
How does Cedarshield work
Unlike less effective wood treatments and seals, Cedarshield soaks all the way through the wood, protecting it from the inside out. This hardens and strengthens the wood against rot, decay, warping, splintering, moisture damage and more.
Can it be used on all types of wood
Of course! Cedarshield can be used on all wood types and projects, new or old, including treated, sealed and painted wood.
How often do I need to apply
In most instances, Cedarshield is a one-and-done lifetime treatment. As a precaution, we suggest re-checking the wood in about 7 years.
Can it be used to treat older wood that's already damaged by water or pests
It sure can! While Cedarshield won't reverse pre-existing damage, it will help prevent that damage from getting worse and dramatically extend the life of the wood.
Will the product change the color or appearance of wood
Nope—Cedarshield does not change the color or appearance of wood. However, you are free to paint or stain the wood 72 hours after your final Cedarshield application.
