The variety is named after the Dikom district. This area near the Himalayas in the northern state of Assam. The tea grows directly on the banks of the Brahmaputra River. The combination of mountains, high humidity from the river, and a specific climate makes this area ideal for tea production. This variety is characterized by a high level of fermentation. The dried leaves are thin, twisted strands the color of dark chocolate. The aroma of the drink is rich and calm, with notes of fresh bread and spices. The infusion is dark red. The taste reveals fruity, woody, and bready notes. It has a slight acidity, and the aftertaste is astringent yet refreshing.
