Darjeeling tea is an exclusive black tea. First Flush Puttabong tea is named after the Puttabong estate, also known as the "Clonal Queen," located just north of Darjeeling town, one of the finest tea-growing states in the Darjeeling district of India. It is a First Flush tea of the highest quality, SFTGFOP I (Very Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe 1), meaning the tea leaves are picked and processed with the utmost care. The taste of Darjeeling tea is highly dependent on the harvest time. This Darjeeling First Flush tea is harvested in the spring (late April). This results in a rather complex, fruity and floral tea. It begins with slightly spicy and floral main notes that blend into darker nuances (incense and nutmeg) and finish with fruity notes of peach. A very smooth taste. A true rarity. Le thé First Flush Puttabong est nommé d'après l'estate Puttabong, également connu sous le nom de "Clonal Queen" juste au nord de la ville de Darjeeling, l'un des meilleurs états de thé dans le district de Darjeeling en Inde. C'est un thé de première chasse de la plus haute qualité SFTGFOP I (Very Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe 1), c'est-à-dire que les feuilles de thé sont cueillies et traitées avec le plus grand soin. Le goût du thé Darjeeling dépend fortement du moment de la récolte. Ce thé Darjeeling First Flush est récolté au printemps (fin avril).
