In 1996, Demeter Fragrance Library was established in the East Village of New York City, creating an entirely new way to think about and wear fragrance. The original vision was to capture the fantastic smells of the garden and nature, so the first three fragrances made perfect sense:

That mission evolved over time, from “any scent you want, no matter how odd”, to “wearable fragrance inspired by real objects and experiences
