Why do we love what we do?

The very nature of the original mission-to capture and commercialize the fantastic smells of nature herself-drove a unique perspective of fragrance simplicity. It turns out the smells of nature are so fantastic that the best way to present them is to get out of the way. So our targets became the idealized, wearable experience of a simple, understandable and recognizable scent. Flowers became the living experience of the flower, not some reduced or redacted version of the flower. Grass was inspired by a freshly mowed lawn, Dirt by freshly tilled soil.

What exactly is a prune? Well basically they are fully ripened plums which have been dried to remove most of the water. But not all plums are suitable to be dried into prunes. The most common variety of plum used for prunes is d'agen. At maturity, they have a deep purple skin and they have a higher acid content and more sugar which makes it possible for the fruits to be dried with their stones intact without fermenting. Prune by Demeter fragrance library captures the intense and concentrated sweetness and fruit of the dried plums, in their purest form.
