REMEMBER THIS: The key to more radiant skin is collagen production.
Derma roller works by using tiny needles to create ‘micro-channels’ in the skin. This stimulates the healing response of the deeper layers and encourages your skin to make new, collagen-rich layer.
The micro-channels created during the treatment allow active ingredients from your skincare products to penetrate to the deepest layers of the skin to deliver even more powerful results.
After derma roller treatment, your body will naturally start to regenerate and repair the skin, working below the surface. This means new collagen and elastin is formed, skin rejuvenation is enhanced, and new skin cells are regenerated. It usually takes up to six weeks before any visible signs of repair are seen, and this will continue over the ensuing months.
Derma rolling (or skin needling) is your go-to treatment for instantly firmer, smoother skin! Now it’s Known for its incredible ability to stimulate the growth of collagen and elastin, micro-needling delivers real results in overall hair regrowth. Not only will this leave you a fully-growth glowing hair, it can also reduce scarring, stretch marks, blackheads, open pores, fine lines, hyper pigmentation and more.
Derma rolling is one of the most accessible and affordable aesthetic treatments, aimed at stimulating the skin to regenerate and repair itself naturally. The roller penetrates the skin, which promotes and stimulates collagen renewal.
Ideal treatment for:
Please note that from 0.5mm, the roller should be used by experienced users.
Needles longer than 0.5mm will cause pain and even bleeding.
Beginners should start with 0.3mm needle length or below.
For those who prefer home treatments, 0.3mm and 0.5mm is the most suitable sizes to start with.
Needle Length longer than 0.5mm should be used at clinical departments or by professional skin care therapists.
For those experienced users, or whom prefer treatments on shallow scar areas, or stretch marks, needles from 1.0-2.0mm are the most effective choices.
How often you derma roll also depends on the length of needles you’ll be using. Above chart is the maximum amount of times you can use a derma roller within a given time frame.
Disinfect your derma roller by letting it soak in 70 percent isopropyl alcohol for approximately 5 to 10 minutes.
Thoroughly cleanse your face using a gentle pH-balanced cleanser. If you’re using a derma roller with needles longer than 0.5 mm, you’ll also need to wipe down your face with 70 percent isopropyl alcohol before the rolling process.
Roll in one direction 6 to 8 times, depending on your skin tolerance and sensitivity, and make sure to lift the roller after each pass.
So, roll in one direction. Lift up. Repeat. After rolling in one direction, it’s time to go back over the area you just rolled and repeat the process in the perpendicular direction.
After you’re done microneedling, rinse your face with water only.
Clean your derma roller with dishwasher soap. Create a soapy water mix in a plastic container, then swish around the roller vigorously, making sure the roller doesn’t hit the sides. The reason we use detergents like dish soap directly after rolling is because alcohol doesn’t dissolve the proteins found in skin and blood.
Disinfect your derma roller again by letting it soak in the 70 percent isopropyl alcohol for 10 minutes. Put it back in its case, give it a kiss, and store it somewhere safe.
