This specialty from organic cultivation comes from the northern province of Chiang Rai. Shading ancient tree stands, constant rainfall and warm temperatures provide the best conditions for growing this rarity. The name of the tea plant used for this is "Jing Shuan", it gives the tea its special and distinctive character. The freshly harvested leaf is allowed to wither and ferment in the open air for approx. 18 hours, but shaded, then the tea is rolled up and fermented for another 4-5 hours. After drying, the "Hong Cha" can finally show its extraordinary size: very beautifully defined long twisted teak-colored leaf, the infusion with caramel-fruity bouquet, the cup of changing amber, very aromatic on the tongue with a mild sweetness and light notes of honey. 3-5 minutes steeping time 100 C water temperature 4-5 heaped teaspoons 1 liter1 kg BIO zwarte thee Japan k.b.A. Benifuki DE-ÖKO-006 Deze specialiteit uit biologische teelt komt uit de noordelijke provincie Chiang Rai. Schaduwgevende oeroude boomstanden, constante hoeveelheid neerslag en warme temperaturen zorgen voor de beste voorwaarden voor het kweken van deze zeldzaamheid. De naam van de hiervoor gebruikte theeplant is "Jing Shuan", ze geeft de thee zijn bijzondere en onderscheidende karakter. Het vers geoogste blad wordt ca. 18 uur om te verwelken en te fermenteren in de open lucht, maar overschaduwd, dan wordt de thee opgerold en gefermenteerd gedurende nog 4-5 uur. Na het drogen kan de "Hong Cha" eindelijk zijn buitengewone formaat tonen: zeer mooi gedefinieerd lang gedraaid teakhoutkleurig blad, de infusie met karamel-fruitig boeket, de mok van changerende barnsteen, op de tong zeer aromatisch met een milde zoetheid en lichte klanken van honing. 3-5 minuten trektijd 100 C watertemperatuur 4-5 opgehoopte theelepels 1 liter
