The basis for this specialty is the Jade Tung Ting Oolong from the Nantou District in the Taiwanese highlands. The production principle is similar to jasmine or rose tea. In approximately the same parts, ready-made tea leaves are mixed with dried cinnamon pieces and then gently heated in the tumble dryer at a low temperature. The ingredients then "rest" together for another week before the cinnamon content is sieved again. The end product is an aromatic soft green tea with a discreetly sweet-fruity cinnamon note.
