Worldwide there are about 150 different species of mountain or Almtees (family name here Sideretis), most of which occur in the Mediterranean area. The vast majority of this lip flower grows wild, but some species are also cultivated. Rich in essential oils, both flowers and stems and leaves smell of fresh herbs when poured, with a light lemon note.
