Pepidol 3% for children - solution, liquid natural sorbent. PEPIDOL is an antibacterial enterosorbent. Its base is pectin. This is a universal preparation of plant origin. It has the ability to selectively destroy all pathogenic and opportunistic intestinal flora without damaging the normal intestinal flora. Long-term research has revealed the multifaceted effects of PEPIDOL on the human body. As a result, it was established: (1) PEPIDOL has a bactericidal effect on pathogenic bacteria, while the normal microflora is not sensitive to it. This promotes the development and colonization of beneficial microorganisms in the intestine; (2) entering the gastrointestinal tract, PEPIDOL forms gels that, moving through the intestines, capture toxic substances and protect the mucous membranes from irritation; (3) during the process of food digestion, PEPIDOL combines with toxins, heavy metal salts and radionuclides, resulting in the formation of insoluble complexes which, without being absorbed into the gastrointestinal mucosa, are excreted from the body.
