What is Hardaliye?

Hardaliye is a traditional beverage with a distinctive, pleasant aroma and taste, with a bitter aftertaste. It is prepared by crushing grape skins and seeds, then adding black mustard seeds and sour cherry leaves.NON-ALCOHOLIC

It does not contain added water or sugar. It is obtained from the pure juice of grapes. It is completely natural.

History of Hardaliye

Hardaliye was produced in ancient times using traditional methods in the Thrace region, known as the "Land of Vineyards", to preserve grape must. It is known that Evliya Çelebi mentioned hardaliye in his travelogue.

Atatürk drank the hardaliye offered to him upon his visit to Kirklareli in 1938, saying:"Make hardaliye the national drink".

Hardaliye Nedir?

Hardaliye, üzüm kabugu ve çekirdegi ile ezildikten sonra, içine siyah hardal tohumu ve visne yapragi ilave edilerek hazirlanan, kendine has hos kokusu ve tadi olan, buruk içimli,ALKOLSÜZ, geleneksel içecektir.

Ilave su ve seker içermez. Üzümün has suyundan elde edilir. Tamamen dogaldir.

Hardaliyenin Tarihçesi

Hardaliye eski dönemlerde o zamanlar "Baglar Diyari" olarak adlandirilan Trakya Yöresinde üzüm sirasini korumak amaci ile geleneksel yöntemlerle üretiliyordu. Evliya Çelebi'nin seyahatnamesinde hardaliyeden bahsettigi bilinmektedir.

1938 yilinda Kirklareli'ye geldiginde kendisine ikram edilen hardaliyeyi içen Atatürk"Hardaliyeyi milli içecek haline getiriniz"diyerek Kirklareli halkina vasiyetini bildirmistir.
