Drontal Plus has a broad spectrum of anthelmintic action on all stages of development of roundworms and tapeworms, including Toxocara canis, Toxocara leonina, Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum, Trichocephalus vulpis, Echinococcus granulosus, Echinococcus multilocularis, Dipylidium caninum, Diphyllobothrium latum, Multiceps multiceps, Taenia spp., Mesocestoides spp. br/br/The mechanism of action of the drug is based on the disruption of glucose transport and microtubular function of the parasite, inhibition of fumarate reductase activity, increased permeability of cell membranes, which leads to disruption of neuromuscular innervation, paralysis and death of the helminth. Drontal Plus is low-toxic for warm-blooded animals and does not have sensitizing, embryotoxic, or teratogenic properties.
