At the end of September, they head back to the Antalya region to spend the winter, completing their honey journey.

HOW IS ATRAWBERRY HONEY MADE?
Our beekeeping expert, Tayfun Derin, sets out in May to select a suitable plateau for honey production in Bitlis. He selects the appropriate plateau and determines the land where our bees will be accommodated. Tayfun Derin, manager of the MühendisAri Bitlis Region Astragalus Honey production farm, loads the bees onto trucks from their accommodation in Mus in mid-June and sets off for the highlands we selected in Bitlis. This journey is quite challenging and arduous for both the bees and the beekeeper. Once we safely land the bees on the field, our MühendisAri Bitlis Region Astragalus Honey production adventure truly begins. Honey flowers are slowly beginning to bloom in nature. From this date on, our bees begin collecting and storing honey. The most significant feature of MühendisAri Bitlis Region Astragalus Honey is that it is obtained from the Caucasian bee breed. The Caucasian bee breed has a longer honey extraction tongue than other bee breeds. This is why MühendisAri Bitlis Region Astragalus Honey has a more unique flavor and aroma than many other types of honey.
