MühendisARI Black Sea Region Mad Honey Production Farm Travel Map
Mad honey is actually the most unusual honey you've ever heard of. Because, despite its healing properties, it can cause serious harm if used incorrectly. It endangers human health.
This honey, obtained by bees from flowers known as rhododendrons, which are generally purple and its shades, but can also be found in different varieties in yellow and white, is produced abundantly in areas of Turkey with a Black Sea climate, especially in the Eastern Black Sea region.
It is also known as "bitter honey" because its taste is bitter compared to other honeys we know, or "retentive honey" because too much of it has negative effects on the body.
Although many different types of honey are sold as "mad honey" on the market, true mad honey can be recognized not only by its taste but also by its color. This honey is darker than other honeys, with a slightly reddish-brownish hue. For this unique honey, our bees are transported to the rhododendron-covered plateaus of the Black Sea region in May.

MühendisARI's Black Sea Region KOMAR (DELI) Honey Production Adventure
MühendisARI's Black Sea Region KOMAR (DELI) Honey is one of the unique honeys we strive to offer you. Producing this honey is very difficult. To produce KOMAR (DELI) honey from the Black Sea region, our beekeeping expert, Tufan Derin, selects a suitable plateau. Our bees are brought to this plateau in mid-May, selected in April. Our expert beekeeper, Tufan Derin, takes care of the bees and their honey production journey. If suitable weather conditions are met, our KOMAR (DELI) honey will be produced.
