Es hat einen süßen, zuckerhaltigen, marmeladeartigen, erdbeerartigen karamellisierten Geruch, der u.a. an Zuckerwatte erinnert. Diese Zutat ist sehr intensiv, die normalerweise in hoher Verdünnung zum süßen in der z.B. Vanillearoma Produktion verwendet wird, um einen intensiven essbaren Geruch zu erzeugen.
