Used as a beverage. Prepared with milk (pasteurized, sterilized).
For 200 ml (1 cup) milk (pasteurized, sterilized)
30 g Salep Powder (3 heaping teaspoons), sweetened, thick consistency.
25 g Salep Powder (3 heaping teaspoons), medium sweetness, medium thick consistency.
20 g Salep Powder (2 heaping teaspoons), low sugar, low thick consistency.
For 1 L milk (pasteurized, sterilized)
150 g Salep Powder (6 heaping tablespoons), sweetened, thick consistency.
125 g Salepli Beverage Powder (heaping 5 tablespoons), medium sugar, medium consistency.
100 g Salepli Beverage Powder (heaping 4 tablespoons), low sugar, slightly thick consistency.
For 10 L milk (pasteurized, sterilized)
1.5 kg Salepli Beverage Powder, sweet, thick consistency.
1.25 kg Salepli Beverage Powder, medium sugar, medium consistency.
1 kg Salepli Beverage Powder, low sugar, slightly thick consistency.
Note: 1 heaping teaspoon is approximately 10 g, and a tablespoon is 25 g.
Preparation:
Prepare the desired amount of cold milk and salep powder and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly. Care should be taken not to burn during cooking.
Preparation by machine:
If preparing in a rotary, heated salep machine, first add cold milk, then add the salep powder. Start the machine. Serve when the salep mixture in the machine reaches 80-90 ºC.
Serve with ground cinnamon, if desired. Serving suggestion.
