Lithotamnium (phytolithon calcareum, formerly known as phytolithon lithotamnium) is a small red algae of about 2 cm, living unattached but permanently submerged between 15 and 50 meters deep in the North Atlantic Ocean, particularly in Brittany where it is called maërl, as well as in the seas of Northern Europe. Our lithotamnium currently comes from Iceland where it grows in particularly healthy water. INGREDIENTS 100 Lithotamnium (phymatolithon calcareum)Regular use of lithotamne provides significant amounts of iron, iodine, copper, manganese, cobalt, etc. in a form that is easily and directly assimilated by the body. The very fine powder presentation of this product, with no particular taste, is a simple and inexpensive way to help remineralization (doses generally recommended from 1 to 4 grams per day at mealtimes) and is highly recommended as a course of treatment for around twenty days per month (doses often seen on the internet: 1 teaspoon per day). It is the ideal complement to vitamin C courses, whether in the form of L-ascorbic acid or sodium ascorbate. Its very high content of assimilable calcium (around 28 ) and its magnesium content (around 1.75 ) allow the body to better tolerate long courses or high doses of vitamin C.
