Gelmintal belongs to a group of combined anthelmintic drugs. Gelmintal syrup is prescribed to cats and kittens for therapeutic and prophylactic purposes for nematodosis (toxocariasis, toxascariasis, uncinariasis, ancylostomiasis, trichuriasis), cestodiasis (taeniasis, dipylidiasis, echinococcosis, diphyllobothriasis, mesocestoidiasis), and associated nematode-cestodal infestations. Contraindications to the use of Gelmintal include hypersensitivity to the drug's components, including a history of hypersensitivity, and severe renal or hepatic impairment. Animals that are emaciated, have infectious diseases, and/or weigh less than 0.5 kg should not be dewormed. The combination of moxidectin and praziquantel, included in the drug, provides a broad spectrum of its anthelmintic action on round and tapeworms parasitizing in the gastrointestinal tract of dogs and cats, including Toxocara canis, Toxocara mistax, Toxascaris leonina, Uncinaria stenocephala, Trichuris vulpis, Ancylostoma caninum, Echinococcus granulosus, Alveococus multilocularis, Mesocestoides lineatus, Dipylidium caninum, Diphyllobotrium latum, Multiceps multiceps. Directions for use: Gelmintal syrup is administered orally to animals individually during the morning feeding with a small amount of food or is administered forcibly to the root of the tongue using a dosing syringe at a minimum therapeutic dose of 0.3 mg moxidectin and 5 mg praziquantel per 1 kg of animal weight.

Гельминтал относится к группе комбинированных антигельминтных лекарственных препаратов. Гельминтал сироп назначают кошкам, котятам с лечебной и профилактической целью при нематодозах (токсокароз, токсаскаридоз, унцинариоз, анкилостомоз, трихоцефалез), цестодозах (тениидозы, дипилидиоз, эхинококкоз, дифиллоботриоз, мезоцестоидоз) и ассоциативных нематодо-цестодозных инвазиях. Противопоказанием к применению Гельминтала является повышенная индивидуальная чувствительность животного к компонентам препарата, в том числе в анамнезе, выраженные нарушения функции почек и печени. Не подлежат дегельминтизации истощенные, больные инфекционными болезнями и/или массой менее 0,5 кг животные. Комбинация моксидектина и празиквантела, входящих в состав препарата, обеспечивает широкий спектр его антигельминтного действия на круглых и ленточных гельминтов, паразитирующих в желудочно-кишечном тракте у собак и кошек, в том числе Toxocara canis, Toxocara mistax, Toxascaris leonina, Uncinaria stenocephala, Trichuris vulpis, Ancylostoma caninum, Echinococcus granulosus, Alveococus multilocularis, Mesocestoides lineatus, Dipylidium caninum, Diphyllobotrium latum, Multiceps multiceps. Порядок применения: Гельминтал сироп применяют животным перорально индивидуально в утреннее кормление с небольшим количеством корма или вводят принудительно на корень языка с помощью шприца-дозатора в минимальной терапевтической дозе 0,3 мг моксидектина и 5 мг празиквантела на 1 кг массы животного.
