Cutting and Sealing Cord

• Bind: Tightly bind the cord at the cut point with masking tape or regular electrical tape.
• Cut: Use a sharp knife or a hot knife to cut through the cord. Skip the sealing step if a hot knife is used as the cord is self-sealing along with cutting.
• Seal: Heat the cord with a regular lighter or a candle and the fibers (polyester) at the cord end will melt and self-seal.
• Remove the tape.

Tip-1. The tape keeps strands tightly bound together and prevents the cord end from fraying when cutting, and the cut section will be flat and neat at the end of the cord. Tip-2. Whip the end of the cord with whipping twine if an utmostly secure end is required for your uses.
