- How do I take care of these overshoes?
We recommend cleaning these shoe covers using a damp wipe or hand wash. Hang to dry. Do not clean in the washing machine, and do not tumble dry.
- Which type of shoes are these overshoes made for?
These gaiters work best with road bike and triathlon shoes like Specialized S-Works Road, Gaerne G.Stilo, Shimano S-Phyre, Sidi Wire & Co. Usually their size matches the size of those shoes. It is possible to wear the GripGrab Ride Shoe Covers with high-end MTB race shoes, but be aware that this can compromise the lifespan of these covers. Not for trail, trekking, or winter shoes! Not for trainers or sneakers!
- Are these shoe covers suitable for deep winter?
Our temperature perception is very individual and differs from person to person and even from day to day for the same person. The neoprene fabric provides good insulation for most winter days. If you pair these shoe covers with winter socks, you should be able to ride through most of the winter.
Do you commute to work by bike? Perfect! Do you ride with road (SPD-SL, Speedplay, LOOK) or MTB race shoes (SPD)? Even better, because then these GripGrab Ride Winter Overshoes are great for you. Thanks to the two wide hook and loop closures, you can quickly and easily put these covers on and off before and after your commute. GripGrab Tipp: Pull your leg warmers or rainpants over the top of the shoe covers, so that water can't run down from your leg and into the top of the overshoes.
