OUR HERAMED VISION
My vision is to completely transform the pregnancy ecosystem!
We strive to be a global leader in developing innovative, technology-driven solutions that will forever change our field and impact the lives of millions.
Our technology accelerates the transition from today's episodic, visit-centric, and cumbersome healthcare system to the home-based, continuous monitoring system of the future within the doctor-patient relationship. This enables the implementation of the "connected health" concept at a lower cost.
By leveraging big data and an innovative approach, we aim to transition from managing the "general, average pregnancy" process to providing the ideal treatment for the "individual expectant mother."
We believe this will fundamentally change the patient experience, and that the new experience will be personalized and imbued with empathy.
OUR HERAMED STORY
HeraMED's CEO and Co-Founder, David Groberman, is also the originator of the home-based, connected pregnancy monitoring concept.
In 2011, David's family story became ours. Today, David and his wife, Odelia, parents of three healthy children, experienced firsthand the devastating anxiety and stress that many couples experience when anxiety for their unborn babies increases.
Our story begins when David's wife, Odelia, was in her second trimester. The couple, who had a healthy and successful pregnancy so far, and their two children, were eagerly awaiting the arrival of their third child.
The baby's kicks and movements, along with excitement and laughter, were the birth of sibling curiosity and parental bonding. Regular tests, doctor's appointments, and everything else seemed to be going well. There was so much to look forward to.
Until that evening. That evening, Odelia realized she hadn't felt her baby all day. She used every trick known to her baby to get a response and stimulate him: suddenly turning to her right while lying on her left, eating chocolate, walking around, jumping, and even gently whispering to wake her unborn baby.
But nothing happened…
Late that night, anxiety grew, along with curiosity about the fetus's condition. After not feeling a single movement all day, the couple decided to seek medical help. They managed to secure a babysitter and rushed to the emergency room.
It took hours of commuting, parking, going through administrative paperwork, and answering countless questions. Finally, the couple was able to perform the much-anticipated baby monitoring procedure using the hospital's high-quality, sophisticated, and expensive equipment.
It was early morning when a doctor finally found a suitable moment to look at the monitor results. The doctor said the baby was fine and they could just go home.
A night filled with anxiety gave birth to an idea. That was the night David visualized the concept of our first product, HeraBEAT™.
The commercially available product is a smart, connected home fetal heart rate monitor, allowing other parents to have much-needed reassurance anytime, anywhere.
HeraMED is proud to pioneer innovation in pregnancy monitoring, using groundbreaking technology to support peace of mind for parents worldwide.
