We’re making mindful decisions to reduce our impact on Earth’s landfills and water supplies through positive change designed to make Mother Nature proud.

In 2016, we began purchasing certified renewable electricity credits, which come from windmills, for our Iowa City plant. And since 2010, our Herbal Essences manufacturing sites around the world have reduced our total absolute energy by about 9% and total absolute gas emissions by more than 15%.

Herbal Essences manufacturing sites are working hard to reduce waste. How? For example, at our Iowa City factory, our scrap bottles are repurposed to make flower pots. Fifty percent of our manufacturing sites are even zero manufacturing waste to landfill.

From 2010 to 2016, our Herbal Essences sites around the world have reduced total absolute water consumption by over 20%.
