What is the Raw Material of Menengiç Coffee, the Menengiç Fruit (Pistacia Terebinthus)?
Pistacia Terebinthus is cultivated and widely consumed in various regions of the world for various purposes. The fresh shoots and nuts of this tree play an important role in human nutrition. These pistachios, grown in southern Turkey, have been eaten as a snack for many years. They have also been used in traditional medicine for many years. They have stimulant, diuretic, and antitussive effects. In Turkey, they can grow on stony, calcareous, and dry surfaces in the Mediterranean and temperate climates. They are resistant to cold and drought. The flavonoids and minerals they contain are unique because of their important roles in the body against inflammation and general diseases. They are also an important enzyme component in metabolism, acting as a catalyst and antioxidant. Food is a primary source of vitamins for humans and animals. High in Antioxidants
PREPARATION:
CEZVE:You can brew it in two ways.
- It's the same as Turkish coffee. Add one cup of water and one teaspoon of Pistachio coffee per person to a pot, and add sugar depending on how you like your coffee.
Stir and bring to a boil over medium or low heat. Unlike Turkish coffee, you don't have to skim off the foam with Pistachio coffee.
- This is a cooking method using milk. First, pour a glass of milk into a cezve (cezve). You can choose low-fat milk, as the pistachios are already fatty, making this drink even healthier. Next, add two teaspoons of pistachio coffee. Add sugar, if desired. Stir. Once it boils, cook for a little longer, stirring occasionally, and remove from heat. Bon appetit?
