Due to the high demand for our products, they are offered for sale immediately after they are prepared. Our products are definitely not stored in warehouses and then offered for sale.
What is the difference between Whole Wheat and Whole-Wheat Tahini?
The difference arises depending on the use of sesame seeds, the raw material for tahini, during the production phase. The distinction between bran-free and whole-wheat tahini is made by removing the hulls or processing the sesame seeds with their hulls on our millstones.
Tahini produced by removing the hulls of the sesame seeds during the production process has a thinner consistency than whole-wheat tahini produced without the hulls. Therefore, it is more fluid and lighter to eat.
Tahini produced with the sesame hulls in the production process. Because it's made without removing the husk, it has a more intense aroma and consistency. Tahini is our old-fashioned, natural product, where you can enjoy the intense aroma of sesame and tahini on your palate.
Customers who are consuming tahini for the first time prefer bran-free tahini, while customers who consume tahini frequently prefer bran-wheat tahini.
The World of Kalaycioglu Tahini and Bozkir Tahini?
In our region, in the 1800s, our grandfathers would bring and sell dried beans, raisins, and apples to Antalya, Manavgat, Alanya, and Serik on camels, and bring back sesame seeds on their way back.
They tried to make standard tahini by soaking the sesame seeds they brought in streams and roasting them in stone ovens, but they couldn't get the right consistency, resulting in the consistency of our famous Bozkir tahini today.
Following our ancestors' production efforts, in 1960, we established our company and acquired its corporate identity under the name Bozkir Kalaycioglu. From its founding until 2018, our company operated under the Kalaycioglu Tahini brand. With the addition of our factory in the Bozkir district center, we continued our production under the Bozkir Tahini World brand.
In 2018, our company received the "Ahi of the Year" award, which appeals to all of Turkey, and earned the title of Ahi. As before, after the awards ceremony, our company continues to uphold the traditions of the Ahilik, offering Bozkir Tahini and Bozkir Köpükü to everyone who visits our workshop in central Bozkir (whether a customer or not). Why Bozkir Tahini?
Our wood-fired Fara oven roasts the sesame seeds in our Bozkir Tahini more than in our white tahini, thus thoroughly cooking the sesame oils. This traditional production method ensures that our Bozkir Tahini is easier to digest than our white tahini.
