Angelica root, also known as "female ginseng," contains, among other things, essential oils, bitter substances, tannins, angelic acid, resins, waxes, and starch, all of which contribute to the root's distinctive characteristics. In addition, angelica root also contains significant amounts of vitamin E, beta-carotene, and phytoestrogens. The taste of this root can be described as bitter. Chinese angelica root is usually prepared as an infusion. For one cup of tea, a piece of the root about 1 to 2 cm thick and fairly thin is sufficient. The root is steeped in hot water. A little honey can soften the taste, as the root has a rather bitter flavor. Steep for 5 to 10 minutes. The root can also be used to enrich soups.

Krauterino24 - Racine d'Angelika, coupe chinoise, quantité : 100 g
