Sunflower powder is suitable as a sun tea, sun herb tea, or for making sun flower tincture. Most of the sun flower comes from the cultivation process. The purple sun flower is harvested and cut just before flowering in summer. It is only shortly before sale that the flower is ground. The sun flower contains polysaccharides, alkylamides, and caffeic acid derivatives. Other ingredients in the sun flower include essential oils and flavonoids. In natural remedies, sun flower is used as a sun flower tea. To prepare it, 6 g of purple sun flower are steeped in 500 ml of hot water for 10 minutes.
