Galla, also known as galla (from the Latin galla ), is a traditional household product with a long history. Its country of origin is Turkey, where galla grows in abundance. The fruit is a cellular growth of the gallnut tree. However, the gallnut requires the saliva of wasp larvae that live in the tree and feed on its contents. Once the gallnuts are ripe, they are harvested, dried, and often ground into a powder. Numerous possible uses: Galla powder is created by processing the gallnut. It is harvested during the autumn months, dried, and then bottled. The powder is commonly used in tea and is suitable for both oral and external use.
