Cut root of the blue barnacle (Caulophyllum thalictroides), also known as lady's root. Lady's root grows in damp, shady areas of North America. In the fall, the lady's root is harvested and air-dried. The dried lady's root is then transported and cut at our processing facility. The cut size is 1 to 6 mm. Lady's root contains methylcytisine, glycosides, resins, saponins, organic acids, and enzymes. Lady's root is used in North American natural healing. To prepare lady's root tea, pour 1 teaspoon of cut lady's root with 250 ml of boiling water and let it steep for 10 minutes. Lady's root comes from controlled cultivation in North America and is free of harmful substances. Lady's root can be stored for at least 24 months.
