Due to its active ingredients, Dehinel Plus exhibits antiparasitic activity against cestodes: Echinococcus granulosus, Echinococcus multilocularis, Mesocestoides lineatus, Diphyllobothrium latum, Dipylidium caninum, Multiceps multiceps, Taenia spp.

and nematodes: Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina, Uncinaria spp., Ancylostoma spp., Trichuris vulpis.

Febantel, moderately absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, inhibits tubulin protein synthesis and glucose uptake in nematodes, while simultaneously inhibiting fumarate reductase, an enzyme responsible for helminth energy metabolism.

Pyrantel embonate is poorly absorbed when administered orally and therefore acts directly on the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract of the affected dog.

It blocks neuromuscular transmission in nematodes and causes paralysis of the helminth's muscles, allowing the parasites to be easily eliminated from the host's gastrointestinal tract.

Praziquantel is well absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and exerts a lethal effect on cestodes (tapeworms) by increasing the permeability of the parasite's cell membranes to calcium ions and inhibiting fumarate reductase, which causes spastic contractions of the parasite's muscles, eventually leading to paralysis.

Praziquantel is excreted unchanged in the bile.

Dehinel Plus is administered to dogs individually orally, once during the morning feeding at a rate of 1 tablet per 10 kg of animal weight.

For therapeutic purposes, animals are given the drug according to indications, and for prophylactic purposes - quarterly (once every 3 months) at a therapeutic dose.

PREVENTIVE TREATMENT REGIMEN

Puppies: at the age of 4, 6 and 12 weeks.

Young dogs: every 2-3 months until they reach the age of 1 year.

Adult dogs: 3-4 times a year.

Female dogs: during estrus, two weeks before parturition and 2 weeks after parturition.

All dogs: before vaccination.

Празиквантел хорошо всасывается в желудочно-кишечном тракте и оказывает губительное действие на цестод (ленточных червей) за счет повышения проницаемости клеточных мембран паразитов для ионов кальция и угнетения фумаратредуктазы, что вызывает спастическое сокращение мускулатуры паразита, переходящее в паралич. Празиквантел выделяется с желчью в неизменном виде.

Дехинел Плюс применяют собакам индивидуально внутрь, однократно в утреннее кормление из расчета 1 таблетка на 10 кг веса животного.С лечебной целью животным задают препарат по показаниям, а с профилактической — ежеквартально (1 раз в 3 месяца) в терапевтической дозе.
