Fipronil is an insectoacaricide of the phenylpyrazole group, the mechanism of contact action is to block GABA-dependent receptors of arthropods, disrupting the transmission of nerve impulses, which leads to paralysis and death of ectoparasites. Methoprene is an analogue of juvenile hormone, an insect growth regulator; by disrupting the synthesis of chitin, it causes developmental abnormalities in insects at the egg and larval stages, and prevents the appearance of sexually mature insects on animals and in places where they are kept. They accumulate in the epidermis, hair follicles, and sebaceous glands, providing a long-lasting contact effect and protecting the animal from ectoparasites. A single treatment of the animal ensures the destruction of fleas and ticks for 24 and 48 hours, respectively. The protective effect of the drug against ixodid ticks lasts up to 4 weeks in dogs; against adult and preimaginal stages of insect development in dogs - 4-12 weeks. Fiprist Combo, in terms of its impact on the body, is classified as a moderately hazardous substance (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007-76). In recommended doses, it does not have a skin irritant, resorptive-toxic, embryotoxic, or teratogenic effect; it causes mild irritation upon contact with the eyes. The drug is toxic to rabbits, as well as fish and other aquatic organisms. Indications: Fiprist Combo is prescribed for dogs: for the treatment and prevention of entomoses caused by fleas, lice, and chewing lice; for the treatment and prevention of acaroses caused by ixodid ticks; as part of the complex treatment of allergic dermatitis caused by fleas; to prevent the attachment and development of ectoparasites on animals.

Защитное действие препарата против иксодовых клещей продолжается у собак до 4 недель; против половозрелых и преимагинальных фаз развития насекомых у собак - 4-12 недель. Фиприст Комбо по степени воздействия на организм относится к веществам умеренно опасным (3 класс опасности по ГОСТ 12.1.007-76), в рекомендуемых дозах не оказывает кожно-раздражающего, резорбтивно-токсического, эмбриотоксического и тератогенного действия, при попадании в глаза вызывает слабое раздражение. Препарат токсичен для кроликов, а также рыб и других гидробионтов. Показания Фиприст Комбо назначают собакам: для лечения и профилактики энтомозов, вызываемых блохами, вшами и власоедами; для лечения и профилактики акарозов, вызываемых иксодовыми клещами; в комплексной терапии аллергического дерматита, вызываемого блохами; для предотвращения прикрепления и развития эктопаразитов на животных.
