Pigmented smooth leather / semi-aniline

Robust, suitable for everyday use, easy to clean and uncomplicated.

Pigmented leather is coated with an additional colour pigment layer after the tanning and dyeing process. Under this layer of varnish, pores, individual skin complexion as well as scars or other individual features of the cattle skin completely disappear.

These leather have a slightly stiffer, moderately warm grip. It can therefore be slightly cool on cold days as body heat can no longer penetrate. On hot summer days, however, you tend to transparency, it feels sweaty.

But this surface treatment also offers a high level of protection against stains, as liquids cannot penetrate deep into the leather.

Due to the high durability, this type of leather is "very suitable for everyday use" and tends to fade less often. It is easy to clean, almost all stains can be removed with the appropriate Keralux cleaners

Pure aniline

Original, natural, elegant, high quality. Leather with a very individual character.

It is completely imbued with colour, but otherwise largely natural. The individual skin pores are still very visible as hair-fine holes.

When you run your fingernail over it, you leave a "mark", but it polishes itself when used.

Due to the natural appearance, its surface is very soft, warm and sensually comfortable.

· The open skin pores allow for high breathability. The leather adapts to the body temperature in no time.

Due to the untreated surface, pure aniline is unfortunately very sensitive and susceptible to stains and signs of wear.

Pure aniline develops an individual character over time, this "patina" makes the charm of aniline leather.

Vintage effect leather

Vintage effect leather furniture is currently very trendy. Unfortunately, it is not easy for amateurs to keep track of the jungle of the whole vintage leather variety. Because vintage leather is not a defined leather type such as Nubuck or aniline leather, but vintage leather can be anything.

Mostly it is smooth or suede leather, which after tanning and colouring are refined with a vibrant "effect finish" (wax layer). This creates a stylish antique look.

Vintage effect leather is very soft and easy to grip, but also very sensitive and easily prone to stains and signs of wear. Regular maintenance care is particularly important here.
