Zhejiang Anji Bai Cha is distinguished by its freshness, full body, and smooth taste. This tea has its own unique characteristics: the Anji Bai Cha leaf comes from a rare variety of the tea plant, discovered in 1930 and first cultivated by farmer Liu Yiming in 1982. He named the variety "White Tea No. 1." In early spring, the first buds are jade white, but after 15 days, they turn a bright yellow-green. Bai Cha, or white tea, is therefore a reference to this cultivar. As a pure green tea, it is ranked among the top 10 teas in China. This tea grows in the region at an altitude of 150 meters.
