This fragrant specialty from Guangxi Province in southern China is a classic. Its long-standing, largely unchanged traditional production method is based on small-leaf green tea blended with still-damp osmanthus flowers. Unlike jasmine tea, the flowers are not filtered, so the many remaining blossoms in the tea take on a honey-gold color after the drying process. As a result, the infusion also releases a sweet, fruity aroma. The honey-gold cup is enticingly appealing with a sweet, slightly fruity taste and a hint of spicy honey.
