Fujian Green Monkey tea is characterized by its floral, full-bodied, and sweet taste. The leaf can also be described as: dark jade green, curly, with a light down at the tips. Fujian Green Monkey tea is particularly striking in its cup: a bright, clear jade green. This tea also has its own unique characteristics: the smooth rocks of the Wuyi Mountains were once difficult to access, and the wild-growing tea bushes were hard to harvest. Trained monkeys picked the tea, which could then be systematically cultivated on the plains. This is how the name of this exceptional tea originates.
