The name "Hathikuli" is composed of the terms "Hati" and "Kuli," meaning "frequent." The Hathikui tea plantation is located near Kaziranga National Park and is regularly traversed by elephants. During the harvest, the fine shoots of the young clonal bushes are hand-picked, immediately cushioned, gently rolled, and dried. In this dried state, the organic tea is ready for brewing.
