The name “bentonite,” is derived from Fort Benton, an area in Wyoming known for its plentiful supply. Blended with vinegar, water or other liquids, the clay powder forms a highly absorbent paste that, when applied to the skin and allowed to “set” or dry for several minutes, helps draw out dirt, excess oil and toxins, deep-cleaning pores while tightening and toning the skin. After rinsing, skin appears smoother, brighter and firmer-looking.
